Signature

Okazaki Momoko (岡崎 百々子) is a singer and model under the agency Amuse. She is a member of BABYMETAL and a former member of Sakura Gakuin and it's sub-units Kagaku Kyumei Kiko LOGICA? and Minipati.

She served as one of three "Avengers", from 2019 until 2023 alongside Sayashi Riho and Fujihira Kano who filled in for live shows after the departure of Mizuno Yui. The Avengers switched out positions depending on availability, however, Momoko Okazaki eventually became the only Avenger still de facto in operation due to the other girls focusing on activities outside of BABYMETAL.

On April 1st 2023, at the end of the "BLACK NIGHT" concert at the Pia Arena, she was officially announced as the third member of the band, adopting the name MOMOMETAL, sharing "Scream and Dance" duties with MOAMETAL and restoring BABYMETAL to a trio format.

Biography

Okazaki was born on March 3, 2003 in Fukuoka, Japan. She moved with her family to Kanagawa Prefecture when she was 3 years old, following her father's move to Tokyo.

Sakura Gakuin (2015)

In 2014 she was signed to the talent agency Amuse, and one year later joined Sakura Gakuin on May 6, 2015 at the "Sakura Gakuin 2015 Nendo - Transfer Ceremony". She was part of the sub-units Cooking Club "Mini Pati" and the Science Club "Kagaku Kyumei Kiko LOGICA?". At the transfer ceremony in 2017, she was appointed as the "Ganbare! Chairman".

Along with her activities in Sakura Gakuin, she was also a regular model for "LOVE berry" and actress. From December 2017 to February 2018, she played the role of Elizabeth Midford in the musical "Black Butler" -Tango on the Campania-.

On March 24, 2018 she graduated from Sakura Gakuin with the live performance "The Road to Graduation 2017 Final - Sakura Gakuin 2017 Graduation". She ended her contract with Amuse at the end of the same month. After graduating from the group, she studied abroad.

Okazaki reappeared as a support dancer for BABYMETAL's world tour "METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR" that started in June 2019. She was chosen as one of the three rotating dancers named "Avengers". She first appeared at the Taiwanese music festival "SUPER SLIPPA 10" on August 4, 2019. She supported BABYMETAL both in Japan and overseas with Sayashi Riho.

Since 2020, after the LEGEND - METAL GALAXY shows, Okazaki has been the only Avenger appearing at any shows and broadcasts since the pandemic started. The performance footage of "DA DA DANCE (feat. Tak Matsumoto)" from the live show she was present, was used in the music video of the song.

Girls Planet 999 (2021)

In 2021 she supported BABYMETAL in all ten shows of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN. In July 2021, she was revealed to be a contestant on South Korean reality competition show, Girls Planet 999, through the prologue trailer. Her official profile was released on July 19. However she was eliminated on Episode 5 after her rank failed to make the cut off. She ranked 21 out of the J Group trainees.

In January 2023, Okazaki came back to support BABYMETAL after they returned from their hiatus, on BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE - shows. "Light and Darkness" footage from the live show was also used in the music video of the song.
